  • becoming seriously ill
  • scaring
  • children born with disabilities

Tetanus:

Men who last had a Tetanus shot between the ages of 15 - 19 willl not need another booster shot untill the are 50 years of age. If they are involved in an accident that will impose a Tetanus risk then they would need to see a doctor as Tetanus is a serious problem.

Hepatitis B:

This is often a requirement for employment in the minning industry and for people livingand working in remote areas. Immunisation against Hep. B will reduce the possibility of:

  • lowering the immune system
  • liver disease
  • cancer

Some of the consequences of NOT being immunised against Hep. B are:

  • skin will turn yellow colour
  • you may become a carrier and may infect your partner
