Men’s Health Week 2020
Men’s health in the world is a deadly serious matter as the male mortality rate, particularly from disease and illness continues to be considerably higher than that of women. Their lack of health awareness and unwillingness to adopt a healthier lifestyle also disadvantages men in the early intervention, prevention and control of illness and disease.
Well Man 7 Day Challenge “Up the Creek with a Paddle” will introduce men to preventative physical, mind, social and food challenges in bite size, easy to digest and easy to complete form. Each day of Men’s Health Week the challenge will be uploaded on to the Well Man website www.wellman.org.au to be completed. The challenges will gently nudge men to 10% better health and wellbeing. All men will be encouraged to upload the free Well Man app to continue the Challenges.
“Up the Creek with a Paddle” is a celebration to put a positive spin on men’s health and wellbeing, it is a gentle reminder to act upon symptoms and to see a GP on a regular basis to create your own health and wellbeing history.
